So I ripped up 66 pieces of paper, each numbered, stuck them in a bowl, mixed them up, and made my mom choose four. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if all four were the same person lol, but we got lucky. All four winners are different people. So the winners of the first Cyskazen Christmas contest are:

Gifting Has Arrived On Cyska!
Just in time to get all your friends Christmas gifts. And the gifting has a couple of features not seen on other sites. I'm very excited by this, and it's turned all of Cyska into a big holiday party. Here's how it works:
- Buy an item from the shop
- Click on your Inventory link
- Choose the gift option
- Type in the name of the person you want to send the item to
- Choose from an array of wrapping papers to wrap your gifts - 1CD each and really worth it (There is a plain brown wrap for 500PP)
- Choose the day you want the recipient to be able to open the gift - This feature is going to be great for holidays and birthdays.

Holiday Contest - Win CD!
So now that we're into December, I thought I'd host a little Holiday Contest. We're going to make this one simple. Once a day, you guys can post a number starting with 1 and continuing in order please. This will end at 11:59 EST on December 16th. On the 17th, I will put all numbers in a hat and draw four. All four winners will receive 25CD.
Wish I could make it more guys, but I'm strapped for cash lol. If I am able to buy more before the drawing, I will probably up the prize amounts. I figure if I draw on the 17th, you guys can use the money to decorate for Christmas if you want to.
And if you haven't checked out the Shop recently, you really should! There is some great new furniture in there, some new windows, and Seasonal Christmas items are being added all the time. :)

So The Presidential Election...What Do You Think?
I was thinking that so many of you aren't quite there yet with being old enough to vote, but that doesn't mean your opinion matters any less.
It would be nice to see some of your opinions on which nominee you would vote for and why. Feel free to use sources to back up what you're saying as long as the site is appropriate.
If you're going to engage in debate, there are some rules:
Respect each others' opinions. If you happen to think someone has an opinion that is not fully educated feel free to show reliable sources that may prove that opinion wrong. But be nice!
If something you said is proven to be false, don't get angry, go find some sources to uphold your side of things.
No putting each other down. Everyone is entitled to an opinion whether or not you like their opinion.
No swearing please. I realize this topic gets heated, so I feel like if I let the little swears through eventually someone will come through with a big'un.
No threats, joking or otherwise.
Respect, respect, and you guessed it! Cookies! No, respect. You can't expect respect for yourself if you don't give it.

The Hunt Is On - Win CyDollars!
So the Halloween Scavenger hunt is finally on. I hope that a lot of you get a chance to participate. Please read this entire post to find out all the rules.
1st Place - 50 CyDollars

Here is how this works. Clues are scattered amongst the moderator's cat profiles. Their are also some scattered in forum posts.
In order to make sure no one skips ahead, I need you to write down the names of the cats or threads as you find them. For example:
If the first clue was on Scruffy's profile and led to the second clue on Mindy's profile, your log should begin like this:
1. Scruffy
2. Mindy
And so on. Once you think you have the final clue (which is a word or series of words), post here "I think I've solved it!" and email me the answers at Azkani.Karma@yahoo.com. Do NOT post the answers on the blog. If you post them here, they will be deleted immediately. The only way we can have 3 winners is if 3 people go through and find the clues themselves.
If you email me and you are wrong, I will tell you to keep looking. If you email me and you are right, I will tell you that as well, but I won't tell you what place you won until all 3 are taken. (If this goes on for over a day, I will hand out prizes one at a time)

Get To Know Us - Islen!
Hello,
My name is Destinee, but I go by islen (pronounced eyez-lin)
or you can call me izzy, for short. I am currently a sophomore in high school,
with a dream of becoming a veterinarian. I currently have two dogs, a female
chocolate lab who’s name is Cheyanne, and a Chihuahua mix , named Rango.
I enjoy listening to music, drawing, swimming, playing
basketball, and enjoying my free time on Cyska Siberians.
My favorite artist is Taylor Swift. I have been to both her
Fearless and Speak Now tours, with hopes of going to her Red tour next year on
June 2, 2013.
Over the years I have become a fan of virtual pet sites. One
of them being, Cyska Siberians which, I joined on July 18, 2012. I was elected
to be a mod shortly after joining on July 21st, after volunteering
to be one. Being a mod on Cyska Siberians is not only a honor and a dream come
true, but it gives me the opportunity to help members, which I love doing.

Happy Halloween - Late! Earn Some CyDollars!
Hey there! So today I am working on setting up a scavenger hunt for you guys. It will feature prizes of CD for 3 people. :) Here's how it works:
Your beginning point will be announced at the start of this. Follow the clues until you find the "Final Clue". Be sure to keep track of the clues as you go along because at the end, I will be asking for a list of the names of the cats and the forum post in the order they were found to make sure that there is no cheating by jumping ahead. If you believe you have reached the end and found the clues in their proper order and the all important Final Clue, please post to the blog - "Halloween Hunt, I've solved it!" and email me the names and the answer at Azkani.Karma@yahoo.com so that others have the chance to solve it as well without someone giving the answer. If you post answers to the blog they will be deleted.
If there are any questions please ask now. Clues can be found on some of the moderators' cat profiles and (possibly, not sure yet) in threads on a specific forum. Here are the mods whose kitties will be helping with this hunt:

If you have a problem with any of the Cyska staff, you can very easily email the site and tell them discreetly.
Inappropriate Posts - Basically, if you don't feel it would fly on a pet site, please don't bring it here.
Anything other than that, please use common sense or if it's important, feel free to contact me through email and we'll figure it out.
I'm not trying to do a lot of things to restrict this, but I will start deleting posts if it becomes necessary. I'd like this to be a fun way to interact with players from the site and people interested in becoming members.

Cyska Siberians - A New Experience

A lot of people have been buzzing recently about a new animated pet site called Cyska Siberians. For those that don't know, Cyska is a fairly new site (launched on July 3rd), that focuses on Siberian cats. It is in its beta phase still, and currently the only way to check out this site is by invitation from another player. (You can also check out Cyska Siberians on Facebook)
A couple of things you should know about Cyska:
First and perhaps most important are the two Admin of the site. Namely Cyska and Sawyer. This team has done so much in the short time that I have been a member of the site. New cat colorations have been steadily introduced along with new features. Many of these are features that were proposed by players.
This is an age restricted site geared towards upper teens and adults (woo-hoo!).
For anyone who has an account but hasn't signed on lately, some of the new features are:
The current cat colorations are Black Mackerel Tabby, Solid Black, and Solid Orange. And Tortoiseshell Tabby is currently being rendered with beautiful results. A lot of people have been buzzing recently about a new animated pet site called Cyska Siberians. For those that don't know, Cyska is a fairly new site (launched on July 3rd), that focuses on Siberian cats. It is in its beta phase still, and currently the only way to check out this site is by invitation from another player. (You can also check out Cyska Siberians on Facebook)
A couple of things you should know about Cyska:
First and perhaps most important are the two Admin of the site. Namely Cyska and Sawyer. This team has done so much in the short time that I have been a member of the site. New cat colorations have been steadily introduced along with new features. Many of these are features that were proposed by players.
This is an age restricted site geared towards upper teens and adults (woo-hoo!).
For anyone who has an account but hasn't signed on lately, some of the new features are:
- The feed animation has been rendered, and it is ADORABLE! (see vid at the bottom of this post)
- There are now ledgers for PurrPoints (the money you earn in game by signing in, petting and feeding your cats) and CyDollars (this money can be purchased only at the Bank, or can be earned by other players for selling items, pictures made, etc.)
- New Cat Security allows you to lock each cat with a password. This was put in place to help prevent the scamming that is so rampant in other places. Luckily, we've had some awesome players so far and we haven't needed it. There are a few things you can do with cat security - a simple lock which keeps anyone who might access your account without permission from being able to sell your pets, a NFS (Not For Sale) heart which tells people which babies are in their forever home, a reserve status which lets others know that your cat is already spoken for, and an option that no one can feed your cat but you.
- Also there is now a private sale option that allows you to sell your cat to one specific user for 70CD+
- Bump button that allows you to simply click "Bump" at the bottom of your screen to put your topic at the top.
The current cat colorations are Black Mackerel Tabby, Solid Black, and Solid Orange. And Tortoiseshell Tabby is currently being rendered with beautiful results.
